Fulfilling the requirements of the EYFS means creating an environment that tackles gender stereotyping and celebrates difference, including individual differences and different families.
Every child is different and unique, as is their family. During the early years children's attitudes and dispositions are being shaped by their surroundings, interactions and experiences.
This session will explore how easily and naturally challenging stereotypes fits into existing practice and wider inclusion work.
By the end of this workshop you will:
- Have gained practical ideas on how to celebrate difference, including different families and challenging gender stereotypes.
- Know how to manage difficult conversations with parents/carers to inspire home learning.
- Know how to provide an inclusive environment.
