Vygotsky, Piaget, McMillan, who were these Early Years pioneers? How have they shaped our pedagogy and what is their legacy?
This masterclass will explore a range of theorists and their beliefs and how these underpin much of our everyday early years practice and provision. In our city we have settings using key pedagogical approaches linked to High/Scope and Montessori. We will learn about these and the influence and impact these ideas have on learning for our young children.
Come to this masterclass and be prepared to explore, debate, question and challenge your own pedagogical ideas and come away with a renewed passion for the early years!
This workshop will enable you to:
- Explore a range of pedagogical approaches to learning
- Take part in analytical reflection and high level thinking whilst considering your current educational philosophy and ethos within your setting
- Question, debate and develop ideas and become empowered to put theory into practice!
